What to check:

  • Volume meter responds when you speak
  • Recording plays back clearly without distortion
  • No excessive background noise or buzzing
  • Volume level is consistent (not too quiet or clipping)

Tip: Speak at normal volume from about 30cm (1 foot) away. The volume meter should reach 40-70% for normal speech.
